Dr. Melissa Tilley grew up in Washington State on a small family farm. She was active in her community as well as the United States Eventing Association. She received a degree in Farrier Science from Pacific Coast Horseshoeing School in Plymouth, California. After completion, she moved to Pullman, Washington and earned her bachelor's degree from Washington State University. She was then accepted to Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed her clinical rotations at Purdue University's Veterinary Teaching Hospital, in Lafayette, Indiana in 2020. She is very excited to join the team at Seven Oaks Veterinary Clinic!
Dr. Tilley is also Fear Free certified, which is required training focused on improving the human-animal bond both at home and the veterinary hospital. From her previous involvement in animal medicine, Dr. Tilley understands the important role animals play in people's lives and strives to improve and maintain this relationship.
As an outdoors enthusiast, Dr. Tilley enjoys trail running, backpacking, and hiking with her Rottweiler, "Drogon". In addition to spending time with her pets, Dr. Tilley's hobbies include kayaking, horseback riding, ice hockey, as well as traveling both domestically and abroad.
