Dr. Richard Gschwind was one of the original owners of Seven Oaks.  He is originally from Mackinaw Illinois.  He began his formal education at the University of Illinois in 1967, where he spent two years. He then joined the United States Navy from 1969-1973. After his enlistment he received his Bachelors Degree in Microbiology and Veterinary Medical Degree from University of Illinois in 1978.  He moved to Plymouth in 1980 which is when he purchased Rudd Veterinary Service, renaming it Seven Oaks Veterinary Clinic. He has moved into “semi” retirement and work only a couple days a week.  He enjoys spending time with his wife Judy, their children and grandchildren; loves gardening and old tractors.
